The experience of moving to the Bennett Spring area has been a great
adventure for Rick and me. We have made many new friends and, after only a
few short years, we feel a connection to the Spring that will always be a
part of us. Rick and I were married last February on the edge of the
stream with a few close friends and members of our families present. It
was a cloudy, cool day so we built some fires and drank hot chocolate and
coffee with the wedding cake. To me, it was just perfect.
every day there is a new magic about this place, from the daily wildlife
sightings to the ever changing weather. We are still working hard on
improving the store and the campground. When we bought the Campground, we
knew there was quite a bit of work to be done. Our plan was for a seven
year improvement project which was to be done as we had the time and
money. We are going into our fourth year .This year we plan on building a
new pool for our residents to replace the one that has outlived its
usefulness. Our son, Nathan, and his wife Brie have moved here to help us.
Nate kept the store open all winter for the catch-and-release days on the
weekends. He has an interest in fly fishing and is pretty good at helping
people who want to get started or upgrade their fly fishing equipment. We
have also expanded the fly tying area of the store and are happy to help
you with special requests when we can.
Rick and I would like to
thank you all for the support and friendship you have extended to us these
past few years and we hope to be a part of your lives for many more.
