Trout Fishing Here at Montauk you can experience trout fishing at its best. Trout are stocked daily in the park during the regular season March 1 to October 31, and the daily limit is four fish. In addition, there is a winter catch-and-release season from the second Friday in November to the second Monday in February (Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays & Mondays only). Special regulations apply. Specific information is available at the lodge. |

Camping
Camping at Montauk is fun! Montauk's campsites are all located in the Current River valley, close to great fishing.

Dining at Montauk Lodge Montauk Lodge is famous for its home cooked meals, fresh bread, rolls, homemade pies, seafood, and fine steaks. Dining just doesn't get any better than this.

Visiting Montauk Mill Learn more about our Ozark Heritage with a visit to Montauk's 1896 grist mill. Open seasonally.

Hiking Montauk has several scenic and interesting foot trails and back roads great for hiking. Hiking is an excellent way to enjoy the park and to see sights such as an active beaver lodge.

Attending Park Programs The Montauk Hatchery offers regularly scheduled tours. In addition, during the regular fishing season park naturalists offer a variety of programs including nature walks, live animal demonstrations, evening programs, nature games, nature crafts, and storytelling.

Swimming and Canoeing Although swimming and canoeing are not allowed within the boundaries of Montauk State Park, these activities are allowed downstream on the Ozark National Scenic Riverways.
